The worldwide celebration of the 50th Anniversary world tour for the iconic Rock 'N' Roll musical, The Rocky Horror Show, continues in 2024. The new Australian production is set to return to the Theatre Royal Sydney from March 31, headlined by Jason Donovan, who will be joined by Narrator Dylan Alcott AO from March 31 to April 17. Additional Narrators for the Sydney season will be announced soon. The tour is scheduled to visit Newcastle in January with Myf Warhurst as the Narrator, and makes a triumphant return to Melbourne's Athenaeum Theatre from February 9 with Joel Creasey taking on the role of the Narrator.
Dylan Alcott, a tennis champion, former Australian of the Year, and Paralympian, is set to add the Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show to his list of accomplishments. Transitioning into acting, Alcott expresses excitement about portraying the tale of Frank N Furter and his mischievous friends on that memorable night.
Jason Donovan, reprising his role as Frank N Furter, is enthusiastic about performing the role for Australian audiences. Stellar Perry, Deirdre Khoo, Henry Rollo, Darcey Eagle, and Ellis Dolan return to the cast, with Blake Bowden and Daniel Erbacher joining in 2024 as Brad and the Frank N Furter Alternate, respectively.
The ensemble cast includes Josh Gates, Hollie James, Nicolas Van Litsenborgh, Erica Wild, Keane Fletcher, and Seryan Burke-Low.
